Raising a Self Confident Child through Child Safety Training

As the world becomes more complex today's children encounter many more personal dangers and threats to their healthy self development than a generation ago when such social problems as child identity theft or online predators were completely unknown.

In this complex modern world information is protection, knowledge and awareness are the keys to personal safety and yet it is a delicate balance to teach your child to recognize potential harm and yet not undermine their self confidence with a sense of distrust or fear of their world. It is also a parental challenge to teach your child survival and personal safety skills and not disable their self development with anxiety and insecurity.

To help in this important but sensitive self esteem and child development training here are several free ebooks and child safety resources provided by professional agencies for healthy child development.

Family Watch Dog National Offender Database

FAMILY WATCHDOG DATABASE – A one minute Search your Zip Code will inform you of National Offenders in your area. Here you will see a map of your neighborhood marked with the homes and work locations of Child Offenders, Rapists, Sexual Battery and other Offenders.

Help prevent a developmentally devastating encounter with a child offender or abuser with a little practical preparation. On our FREE eBooks page you will find a very helpful set of three free eBooks all designed to help your child deal safely with Strangers. These free ebook downloads compliment the award winning "Safe Side Super Chick" DVDs below.

These Child Safety Training DVDs are brought to you by John Walsh (see more of Walsh's personal story with child safety below) the founder of "Americas Most Wanted" and Julie Clark the creator of "Baby Einstein".

Safe Side Super Chick teach Kids to be Safe These highly recommended, multi-award-winning DVDs introduce your kids to the humorously engaging "Safe Side Super Chick" who presents stranger safety to kids in a way that is never scary, and always very, very funny--that means that kids ages 2 to 10 will actually enjoy learning about child safety and in the process build a strong sense of self confidence in their own ability to discern danger, make smart decisions and stay safe. These highly entertaining half hour lessons build specific children's self reliance skills as they educate about stranger danger in common situations and on the internet.

When it comes to effective Stranger Saftey Training this is it. We know kids who loved this DVD so much they wanted to dress up like Super Chick for Hallowe’en!

Missing and Exploited Children THE ADAM WALSH STORY

Most people know John Walsh as the host of "America's Most Wanted", the man whose groundbreaking television program has helped take down nearly 1,000 dangerous fugitives in the past 20 years. But it's not the career that he envisioned for himself. Not that long ago he was a successful businessman, building high-end luxury hotels and a life in Florida with his wife Revé -- living the American Dream. But after their young son Adam's murder, everything changed.

The Walsh family's tragic story woke up a nation to the danger of child predators after NBC aired two movies about their life. "Adam," in 1983, and "Adam: His Song Continues" in 1986, dramatized the incredible heartbreak and then resilience of the Walshes. In a bold and courageous move, the network ran a roll call of missing children at the end of the movies, leading to the recovery of 65 children.

Today the "National Center for Missing & Exploited Children ", (contact NCMEC at 1 800- THE LOST), which the Walshes co-founded in 1984, provides invaluable resources to parents, children and law enforcement in the United States and internationally. The charity consistently receives an A+ rating for its ability to spend more than 90 cents of every dollar raised on programming. Its incredible public/private partnerships keep the NCMEC as a leading example of a highly respected and effective non-profit.
